About Us

Team Antigrau is a group of sprayers, writers, painters and artists. Graffiti has been an important and integral part of our daily lives for over two decades and colours determine our everyday lives. Since we are fed up with grey surfaces, we want to leave our mark on the world with fresh colours.

Our global network supports us in our ideas, implementations and visions, just as we want to support and encourage anyone who wants to engage with graffiti in a creative way. For this reason, we cooperate with artists in different cities in order to be able to act flexibly locally. New and exciting projects are both a challenge and a source of creative inspiration for us.

Why "Antigrau"?

If you grew up in Rüsselsheim as a child in the 80s and 90s, you are familiar with grey and dreary concrete walls and buildings. Mostly painted in one colour, carelessly plastered and without creative accents. The predominantly industrial city was not exactly colourful in its external appearance. The Antigrau team wanted to counteract this situation. Our aim is to improve the cityscape in terms of design and
to be able to enjoy shapes, colors and motifs. We see graffiti as an art form and would like it to be recognized and further established as such.

We are happy about collaborations with other artists and the resulting contact with other art forms, as they open up new horizons for us. Only together can we achieve something great. True to the motto: "Respect art if you want art to respect you." (Germ)
